Our Staff

Donna has been with the Sullivan County Child Care Council, Inc. since August of 2000. Prior to joining the team at the Council, she ran her own family day care program for nine years. Upon hire, Donna held the position of Registration Coordinator until she took the position of  Executive Director in August of 2010. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, some master level credits and has extensive experience in the early care and education field. Donna is a certified trainer on Aspire and currently serves or has served on the following Sullivan County Committees and Boards: Healthy Families Advisory Committee, Sullivan County Center for Workforce Development and REAP.

Aimee Pittaluga – CACFP Coordinator

Aimee has been at the Sullivan County Child Care Council, Inc. since November of 2002. Aimee began at the Council as the Parent Counselor and is now the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Coordinator. Aimee has an associate’s degree in early childhood and extensive experience in childcare both as a provider and a parent. Aimee is certified by Safe Kids NY as a car seat technician, Pre-K CLASS certified, Pre-K CDA observer and a Breastfeeding Advocate for Sullivan County.

Mckenzie Townsend – Legally Exempt Enrollment Agent

Mckenzie joined the Child Care Council in February 2026 as the Legally Exempt Enrollment Agent. Mckenzie received a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oneonta. She was born in California, but moved to New York at a young age, where she remained her whole life. Mckenzie spent a majority of her professional life working as a banker. After more than a decade, she left the corporate world for a more personal environment. She has years of informal childcare experience and looks forward to being a part of keeping our kids safe and well cared for.

Jordan Canto – Child Care Coordinator

Jordan is new to the team, joining Sullivan County Child Care Council, Inc. in June 2025. Jordan holds a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) in Infant and Toddler Care. She is CPR and First Aid certified and holds multiple certificates through The Early Childhood Education and Training Program (ECETP). Jordan has been working with children since 2019, and has worked with ages from infants to young adults. She believes in setting a great example for children in the community and is dedicated to being a good leader and mentor.

Courtney Hanback – Referral Specialist

Courtney joined us in May 2022. She was born and raised in Sullivan County and enjoys it so much that she decided to raise her children as the 5th generation on the family farm. She has many years working with school age children with complex disabilities and running day care classrooms. These last few years recruiting direct support staff have been her focal point. She hopes to bring her two favorite things, recruiting and childcare, together and help others open their own small business as a childcare provider.  Her role also includes providing parents with childcare provider referrals. She enjoys volunteering on numerous Sullivan County boards.

Lucia Hernandez –Program Manager at the Children’s Center at Sullivan County Family Court

Lucia joined the Sullivan County Child Care Council, Inc. team in September of 2024. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with 2 minors in forensic psychology and criminal justice.  Prior to joining the team, she was a Bilingual Victim Advocate and then a Foster Care Case Planner. She is knowledgeable regarding the court system and services around the community. As a Program Manager, she oversees the Children’s Center at Sullivan County Family Court and makes sure that children and their families have a good experience while attending the Center and are well informed about various services in the community. She is fluent in English and Spanish and helps support Hispanic/Latino population.

Pamela DeMarmels – CCTA Specialist & Account Clerk

Pamela was welcomed as a new part-time employee of the Sullivan County Child Care Council, Inc. in November 2011. Born and raised in Sullivan County, Pamela graduated from Tri-Valley Central School and attended college at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Pamela is also employed by the County of Sullivan, where she has worked in the Office of Audit and Control for the past 28 years and is a Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator. Her position here at the Child Care Council entails the processing and calculation of daycare vouchers within the NYS OCFS Child Care Time and Attendance System maintains the books for the Child Care Council.

Samantha Drezek-Business Support Specialist

Samantha graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a Master’s degree in literacy education, birth to 6th grade in August 2019. Samantha was formerly a Toddler Teacher with the YWCA of Ulster County and then later a Regulator with the Family of Woodstock. She currently holds a New York State T-TAP credential, is a New York State Pyramid Model Master Cadre, and is a certified Health and Safety Trainer. Samantha joined the Sullivan County Child Care Council, Inc. in July 2022 as the Legally Exempt & CCTA Coordinator then moved to the Infant & Toddler Specialist in July 2024. She currently supports child care providers by offering training and technical assistance intended to build the financial and operational capacity of their programs. As a former childcare provider and a mother, Samantha recognizes the importance of supporting children and their caregivers.

Susan Sennett – Registration Coordinator

Sue joined the team at the Sullivan County Child Care Council in August 2018. She has been a Sullivan County native most of her life and began working in childcare as a teenager as a Latch-Key Aide in the Liberty School District.  She operated her own Family Childcare program from 2002 to 2016, when she moved out of state. Upon her return to NY, Sue worked as a Toddler Lead Teacher at a local childcare facility until she joined the Council in 2018. Sue holds a BA in psychology and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, children and family dogs.

Ashley Murray – Infant and Toddler Specialist

Ashley Murray joined the Sullivan County Child Care Council, Inc. as the Infant & Toddler Specialist, in April 2026.  Ashley brings with her over 20 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. Throughout her professional career, she has worn many hats, including FDC assistant, Lead Toddler Teacher, Childcare Center Director, and former Infant & Toddler Specialist for Ulster County. Experiencing these diverse roles- along with being a Mother of three, has given Ashley a deep-rooted passion for supporting children and their caregivers through the most critical years of development. She is currently completing her master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychology, which enhances her ability to offer practical, empathetic, and evidence-based support to our local childcare providers and families. A true animal lover, Ashley resides in a local farmhouse where she raises chickens and turkeys. She balances her passion for early childhood development with time spent outdoors with her family, reading and “dabbling” in many different crafty hobbies.
